Özkan CANAY

About

Dr. Özkan Canay earned his PhD in Computer and Information Systems Engineering from Sakarya University in 2024. He has served as a programmer and branch manager at Sakarya University's Information Processing Department since 1996. In 2005, he played a key role in establishing the Computer Research and Application Center, where he served as assistant manager and director. He participated in various university commissions on informatics and education and taught IT courses, primarily via distance education, for 16 years. He also taught at Sakarya University of Applied Sciences, established in 2018. As of 2025, he is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Systems and Technologies at Sakarya University's Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences. He has contributed to his fields of specialization through numerous publications, including articles, papers, and book chapters. His research interests include information systems, data analytics, web mining, UX design, and machine learning.
